Clergy visiting the diocese on any ministry capacity are required to submit a letter of good standing from their Diocesan Ordinary or Religious Order Superior prior to their arrival.  The letter regularly used by the visiting clergy’s Diocese or Order is usually acceptable. As a reference (and as an alternative), the following letters can be filled out and submitted. 
Prior approval is needed for speakers coming from outside the Diocese of Monterey (whether clergy, religious or lay presenters).  Please use the Speaker Information form to request approval.  The first page is to be filled out by the Speaker and sent to the sponsoring Parish.   The sponsoring Parish fills out the second page and submits it to the Chancellor’s Office for review.
