St. Clare of Assisi’s legacy as co-founder of the Poor Clares continues to endure and inspire 800 years after it’s beginning in 1212.
In the United States alone there are 37 Poor Clare Monasteries. The Poor Clare Monastery in this diocese is one of three in California. As beneficiaries of this great spiritual legacy we thank the Poor Clare nuns of St. Joseph Monastery for their daily witness to God’s loving presence among us. |
